Procedure
The Descartes Centre offers fellowships to promote intellectual exchange and collaboration in the domains of the history, the philosophy, and the foundations of the sciences and the humanities or any combination thereof.
We have Fellowships available of two kinds: Junior and Senior.
- A Senior Fellow contributes to the Descartes Centre by means of public lectures, research seminars and teaching.
- A Junior Fellow supports independent (doctoral) research and/or research at Dutch museums and archives.
In so doing, she/he collaborates with one or more individuals at the Descartes Centre, and/or opens new, unexpected vistas for scholarship at the Descartes Centre.
We expect every fellow to involve her/himself in the everyday activities of the Descartes Centre to some extent. Prospective dates should be set such as to make such involvement practically feasible.
Fellowships are available for three months or less.
Senior fellows receive a stipend of € 2500 per month, juniors € 1500.
As a minimum feature to qualify for a fellowship, affinity with the core business of the Descartes Centre should be self-evident. Also, your permanent home address should be outside the Netherlands, irrespective of whether you are a foreigner or a Dutch citizen. cheap atorvastatin
